Jam Biscuits

Walt: write a procedure for making………….

Success Criteria: use a verb to begin every  step in the method.

Today in the hall we made Jam Biscuits. We all got a chance to get some dough and mold it so we could put jam on top of it.

• 125g butter
• 1/2 cup of sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 cups of flour
• 1 tsp of baking powder
• 1 tbsp milk

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 180*c
2. Add the melted butter
3. Add 1/2 a cup of sugar
4. Crack 1 egg into the bowl
5. Add 2 cups of flour
6. Tip 1 tsp of baking powder in the bowl
7. Pour 1 tbsp of milk
8. Stir all the ingredients altogether
9. Grab some of the biscuit dough and then mold it until you have a little hole on the top
10. Grab your biscuit in a silicone cupcake mold
11. Put the jam on the little hole you mold, then place everything in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes
12. Place your biscuits on a bench where it can cool down

Birthdays

Today are these people are having a birthday.

Did you know that Donald Duck is 81 years old and also that he was created by Walt Disney in 1934? What I like about Donald Duck are one of his movies.

Today is also Koilata's birthday too and he is celebrating his birthday with Miss Mary and also Donald Duck. He is a 13 year old boy who is in my class, room 11.

Miss Mary is our office lady and she does a lot of work in our school, instead of just picking up the phone in the office. Miss Mary does a lot of things at our school like taking care of us in the sick bay and many more.

Since today are these three people’s special day today I just want to wish them all a happy birthday and exciting day.

Skipping

WALT: write a paragraph

Friday the 12th in the afternoon the whole school met in the hall for our skipping routines. When skipping practice started, each class had to go in their own order so we could all have a turn at doing our class skipping routines. The next time we do skipping is held at the Glen Innes Center on the 19th of June. The reason why we do skipping at GI is because we are doing a fundraiser for the Jump Rope For Heart foundation and also to get fit too.

Samoan Art

          

  

This is my Samoan Art. Last week it was Samoan Language Week. Last week we were using the word Talofa Lava to greet our teacher in the morning. The only words I know how to say is Afio Mai which means welcome. The fun part about making my Samoan Art was about drawing and dying it.
