Brooke Neal represented New Zealand in the RIO Olympic 2016. She is a defender in the Black Sticks hockey team. Shay Neal, her brother, and Brooke both play hockey. Brooke's motivation is her family. Her dad trained her since she was 2 years old. Brooke Neal's role model is her brother. Brooke loves her brother so much that she follows his foot steps.
This blog is a record of my learning from Glen Innes Primary School through to Tamaki College.

New Zealand Olympic Ambassador - Brooke Neal
Today Brooke Neal came to our school. Brooke Neal is a Black Sticks hockey player. Today she talked about the three olympic values, and also her values too. Friendship, Respect and Excellence. Brooke Neal inspired me to follow my goal because, if you have a goal then you can try and make it happen. In 2009, Brooke Neal wrote down her goals, and one of her goals was to go to the RIO Olympics 2016, then she did.

Angles
In this game, I had to find all the 8 planets using angles. When you finish the first round it will get harder and harder. I found this game easy because it gave me a protractor to use. In the last round, there will be no numbers. All you have to do is figure it out.

Emergency equipment was pulled out
Radios roared throughout the building
Raging rain splattered against the rooftop
Overpowering objects flew towards
Rest replaced worried thoughts

The Beach
WALT: write a paragraph using personification
Trees danced to the sound of the howling wind. The tree branches were doing hand motions slowly. As I see huge waves fighting and retreating from the rocks, trying to get a better hit. Then as it get’s high tide, the waves come back with a better plan to swallow the rocks. As the waves comes back, all the rocks began to disappear to play hide and seek underwater.

Magic Sqaures
This is a magic square. All you have to do is just find the average of all the numbers. Then you divide it by 3, because it is a 3 by 3 square. I have attempted to figure out how to solve the level 5 magic square, but it was too hard, so Shanelle had to help me. I'd like to learn how to work with integers and whole numbers.
